Paint part of the fairing. PlastiDip spray paint any good?
Hey, I know a lot of people worked on their bikes paint on their own. I will be attempting this my first time.
I did some research on the forum, if you start off with no tools at all. It can easily cost you more than 200 dollar to buy all the tools and paint. Of course all the stuff you buy can be reused in the future.
What I need is really simply compare to other masters who repaired and painted their whole bike.
I am only planning to paint part of the fairing that's scuffed out. Planning to buy some body filler, sand paper, primer, spray paint on paint. Will all these be enough to do the job?
Thanks,
Peter

Plasti dip...no
That stuff is...irreversible, or almost. Be certain that is what you want, because it is NOT paint...You decide later to paint, you will have a lot of extra work, if you can even get close to removing that crap. I'd just go the rattlecan route if you are touching up or doing just a stripe or two on your bike.
I bought a bike with black Plasti Dip finish....it was....dull and flat looking..and lots of lazy people have done it to their bikes, so it was pretty common looking, too. When I decided I'd had enough of looking at that dull ugly looking finish, it took me FOREVER to get that crap off! It is said to be easier to put on..it is pretty thick and quite soft.
