I use either Honda Polish or Amrep Original Bike Spirits for everything. I also use used dryer sheets to clean my rim. (recycle!!) I was using only micro fiber but I use the blue shop towel (paper kind) first for bottom section

I just started using S100 total cycle cleaner for the actual washing step. Seems to do a pretty good job.

Honda Polish. Best thing since sliced bread. For the chain I have an old toothbrush a diesel for cleaning then re-apply chain lube.

I use Simple Green on the chain, soap and water on the plastics and occasionally a Bounce dryer sheet soaked in water to remove stubborn bug splatters without scratching the paint. The dryer sheet is like magic and it works really well on car clearcoat finishes, too. That's where I got the idea from.

I have not cleaned my bike yet but my dad (who babies his harley) uses s100 also and it works amazing. it gets everything off his bike and its really easy to do. spray on, wait, rinse off with hose, let dry.. its probably the coolest thing I have ever seen

You aren't worried about it getting inside the o-rings buggering up your chain?

Simple Green is not a penetrant, unlike WD-40 that some people say they use to clean their chain with.

I prefer to use kerosene if I have some around, and most chain manufacturers recommend it. Allow to dry then coat the links in a chain lube of choice.

Fair enough. I don't bother. I just ride it! JK. I use a chain cleaner.
