Can somebody please help me out here....

I just bought some fairings from Hong Kong, and i want to put some foil tape on it to protect it from the heat. Can somebody recommend a product to use? I'm not sure what i need exactly.

that description says the tape has a high thermal conductivity so it'll allow heat to pass right thru the tape. But, the description says it can be used for insulation? I'm confused. maybe it insulates from radiative heat which is what you want. Either way, the temp range on that says 300F, this stuff goes up to 1500F:http://www.atlanticspeed.com/product...6&idcategory=0. I'd do some more research if i were you. sorry man.

 

Thanks for that link. And yeah, i thought the description sounded like it contradicted itself as well, so that is why i asked you. The link you sent me was perfect! I saw someone else on here posted a link in a different thread to that same heat tape, but it was outrageously expensive.
