Default Good starts on tunning suspension for yourself?

I have a 94 F2 so the forks are adjustable in the front as the rear shock. What are some good idea's that I could adjust it to or were should I be looking? How do you adjust it actually like the front forks? Just turn the little slit were the flat head screw drivers goes into and just turn it?

Thanks any info would be much appreciated.

There is also a book "Sport Bike Suspension Tuning", that SR reviewed, (forget what month & year) but I've thought of getting a copy myself
