bleed brakes every season?
I was reading another post and Tahoe commented
that as part of regular maintenance you should bleed
your brakes every season. Is that really neccessary?
I absolutely want my brakes to be working, but I also
HATE [:@] bleeding them. So, before I go cracking the system
open and getting air into it, and then spending all night getting
air back out, should I really do it?
The previous owner replaced the pads, and put Galfer lines
on at about 11K, right before I bought it, and now has about 14.5K miles on it.
also, how big of a hassle is this chore on the F4I?

RE: bleed brakes every season?
Bleed brakes as needed. This can easily be more than once per season. What Tahoe was referring to was replacing (not bleeding) your brake fluid every season. Its recommended to replace brake fluid every 12k miles or every season as brake fluid breaks down and absorbs moisture over time.

abad is correct! ding ding ding...
i dunno what knight is talking about...
i also think you should replace the blood in your body too cause it gets old and no good...but the body does that on its own...and it makes sense, so you take what the body does and apply to motorcycles...
