Default Took tank off & now bike won't start...

I have been getting my bike painted and we finished the tank so I decided I would put it back on and start the bike. I 'm pretty sure I have it all reconnected correctly... I made sure the electrical plug was plugged in all the way and the snap went in so I don't think its that. I reconnected the line to the FPR I can't see how that would be off... and the little line that goes into the tank is correct. The only thing I MIGHT have connected wrong is the large bronze circular connection to the tank. I connected it in this order starting closest to the tank. Tank PART, washer on the screw, circule bronze part, washer, bronze screw that screws into the tank... I put 2 gallons of gas in. and put the bike in the "on" position. The needle shot up and back but I didn't hear the whining I'm use to hearing from the bike (I'm assuming the whining is the fuel pump priming) Went to start her and nothing. Turned over and cranked, but wouldn't start. No smell of gas, and no gas leaking... What did i do??? I just want my baby to run

[align=left]I don't know what the tip up switch is, but I don't have the headlight harness hooked up. I took of the headlights for painting... I'm going to go do that right now. Thank you so much. I really can't go to bed till this is fixed, because I won't be able to sleep. Please write about this "tip up switch" if you can. i'm going to look in the manual, but I can't think of where it would be....

F4i Manual
here ya go bud

and the Tip sensor is a box in between your headlights. should have an arrow and the words "up" on it
it connects to the headlight harness and that in turn connects to the main wiring for the bike .

Ok so I plugged the headlights in and she started up. Doesn't look like she is leaking at all, but I do smell something I'm not use to smelling on her... like burning plastic... It could just be the gas... I stored some gas in an empty 2 liter soda bottle, and used that :/ bad idea i guess. I'm going to keep looking for wires that could be burning, but if n e one with experience knows of a wire or anything that has a higher chance being placed wrong and burning or touching the engine I'd apreciate the help.

Thanks for the help Martins. I really appreciate it

Ah Martins you're the man! Thanks so much. I actually saw that goo on the top of my tank from where I had put the tape. Im just going to clean it, then just ride it. I should be done with painting tomorrow. Then she's going to sit and dry for 48 hours. Then I'm gonna finish putting her together and take pictures I have some frame sliders I want to put on her, and wouldn't mind some honda stickers, but we'll see. I figure when she's done she'll be an "empty canvas" to do what I please on. Thanks again Martins
