I just got my 03 f4i and filled up for about $10. I went about 110 miles before my reserve light came on, and then only got about 3 or 5 miles before it got on its last bar. Sound Right?

And also what kind of gas does everyone put in their bikes?

Hey! i asked the same question and the guy at the place where i bought my bike told me not to go more than 160 miles without tanking up. Also, i only put supreme gas. it's only a 5 gallon tank why not spring for the good stuff.

 

It depends usually 125-130 on most tanks till the reserve light come on then another 10-15 till the last one starts flashing. Lately its been 90-95 till the lights come on but the bike doesn't see much time south of 10k anymore so that might have something to do with it[sm=burnout.gif]

My '06 F4i has a 4.9 gallon tank and ranges from 130-170 miles per tank depending on how hard I am on it... After my reserve light comes on I've gotten 20 or so miles before I stop to fill it up... Never gone any futher on it, don't ever want to totally run out... Although I've never put more than 4.2 gallons of gas in it to fill her up, so I've probably got a little more room to run...

 

i hit 220 on a tank before. i had sooooooooooooooooooooooooper ****ty freeway traffic every day for a solid week. SO crappy, but SUCH good mileage. haha.

 

How the **** do you get such high mileages? I've done nothing but freeway riding lately, doing 90-110, and my reserve comes on around 100mi, sometimes even a few miles before. It's NONSENSE!

 

well when you're stuck going 40mph between lanes and running @ super low RPM...you get amazing mileage.
