I want to bump up this winter from an F4 to an F4i (stunta). Other than the dreaded return of the banana seat in 04', have there been any changes in the bike since 2001. Performance or cosmetic.

Wanting to know my stuff before I throw down the $ . . . thanks

nothing but discontinued in 06 lol, the only thing you are gaining by goin to a F4i over the F4 is Fuel Injection.

 

they added cali-style emissions equipment in 05 I believe

 

damn, I was looking at getting an 05'. Does the emissions affect performance?

 

There are very minor changes with the plastics starting in 04, but nothing crazy.

 

a couple horsepower at most just because of the cat converter in the exhaust (eliminated when you get a slip-on anyway) but its nothing remotely significant

 

So the emisions are built into the pipe and thats the only difference???

if you get a cali bike than you are going to have to get a power commander when you change the exhaust, I dont think all of the bikes are cali emmisioned from 04 and up but i may be wrong, I never bothered to really look at the nanner seated F4i's because i didnt really like the seat.
