I just purchased a set of EBC Double-H brakes from my local shop for around $100 for complete front and rear pads.

Roughly OEM replacements. No need to get too fancy unless you race or other things along those lines.

EBC Double-H are really good. I have used them on street and track.

Read the track forums like wera. They talk about aftermarket pads alot. Not many seem to like the EBC HH as they are an old forumla. Even so it was the only thing in stock at the local shop when we did my girlfriends 03 r6 and they seem to perform pretty well. I put the oem honda pads on when I replaced my fronts at 28,000 miles or so. Just past 39,000 now and the rears are starting to get low. I'll also replace those with oem pads. The oem's give you fantastic feedback and are easy to modulate [in the front at least].

Good lord - do brake pads always last that long?
