Default Frame Slider Damage

Most of the frame sliders I'd seen for the F4i bolt onto the bike via the engine mounting bolts.

Is there a possibility that in a crash the load put on the sliders could somehow damage the engine mounts, or the frame itself?

I want to protect my fairings, but would rather replace a set of fairings than wreck my frame if there's a possibility that sliders could cause this.

im pretty sure that if the impact is hard enough you will ruin your bike , sliders arent designed to be perfect. i think you would have to get hit very hard for the sliders , frame and motor to break. dont sweat it , just get them

I agree with Batwing, if you crash so bad that you would damage the frame with sliders on... then chances are, you would have damaged the frame without the sliders on too..

But the benefits of having frame sliders on.. ~~ I let my brother learn to ride on my bike (i know stupid in hindsight) but at one point he dropped the bike.. (thank you frame sliders) And one cold (tires) night, I fishtailed, from a standstill and dropped the bike. (again, thank you sliders) the previous owner slipped in some sand in a parking lot, dropped the bike at 5mph.. if he had sliders installed at the time.. I wouldn't have those ugly scratches right now..

Now, if the bike wrecks so bad, there could be possible frame damage.. you'd be more likely saying, "Thank God I'm alive", then "curse these frame sliders for potentially causing my frame more damage.."

my two cents..

most lowsides, sliders will do its job...high sides...they will but other things may break, especially if your bike goes up 5 feet in the air.
