Is it correct that you can reuse the plug from the f4i guages by changing the pinning? I havnt looked at it closely yet but if so Ill do this later. Gonna put everything on today and see how it looks

If I can just repin the damn plugs it came with thats gonna be sick as **** cause I was gonna go looking for a set of plugs that I could do that with.

Yes thats the way to go, is cleaner, no cuts or splicing wires, just make sure all the pins will be in the right position so you dont short cut anything, and you can use the original plugs from the bikes harness just shave one of the guides on the one with 6 pins from the bike to plug it into the 9 pin F4i cluster, or even better if you get another 9 pin plug to replace the 6 pin from the bike you can include the 3 wires from the speedo, i did it both ways the first one because i didnt have the speedo sensor when i did the gauge swap but when i get my sensor i used the plug from a busted wire harness, the local motorcycle junk yard (Bob's) have a lot of them for that purpose and they let you have'em free.

I was going through this write up and no one seems to be able to answer my question regarding the black/brown wire. Also when going through I found a brown/white wire coming from the cluster...anyone have an idea where this goes?

hey there,

wondering if you could possibly help out with the wiring of this speedo unit ??

i had removed the quick connects prior to realizing that you could just move some pins around... so am left with a couple extra wires and the wires from the speedo unit...

any chance you know what wires from the speedo unit connect to which wires on the f4i gauge ???
