Well guys it's time I realized the truth. My baby needs a better home. I hurt my hip, in a car wreck, and let her sit. I tried to ride short rides to keep her alive, till hydraulic side of clutch went out. Then she sat. Recently I decided to try to get her going, poured Marvels in the cylinders, and the next morning gave her a shot. I think it is seized she wont turn over, and i can't get the wheel to turn, in gear, to turn the engine, that way. Anyhow I cannot invest the time in her, to get her going, even with the help of the forum that helped me get her up in the 1st place. I wouldn't be able to ride it more than 40 miles without a break. I have a BMW R100/7 that I can ride without much pain, so I thought I would give you guys a shot at her 1st.
All plastic is there. except the belly piece. some tabs are missing some holes wallered out. I can put the battery in, but it would just be heavier. Carbs got new o-rings, floats, needles, float bowls, gaskets, I was told the main jets were replaced. The guy that did the jets tore a diaphragm, and tried to blame me. Bowls were drained when I put her away. but that is the extent of the winterizing.
Thanks for all the help, in the past.
Whole bike, $900
Parts. Just ask. .

I got to looking around, and I figure I am probably pretty high, on that price, I just get attached to things, and I get the "Texas Craig's List/Garage Sale mentality." Or as someone said, just today, People are watching Pawn Stars, and now everybody is a negotiator. So I added a buffer. I was really hoping someone would know what I was overlooking, get it to turn over, and grab a deal, because it did run before I got hurt.
I will take all offer seriously. Or at least let me know just how misguided I am. Or, if someone could tell me what you think would be more realistic, that would also be appreciated.
Thanks for looking,

I'm sorry you have to part with this bike that you seem to care for quite a bit. What's really sad is that it is probably worth quite a bit more in parts than as a whole. Just for a price reference, if you are interested, I purchased my '87 five years ago in "restored to show-room room condition" with 18,000 miles for $2,400.

WOW great deal!! I still have 2 wheels, so I'll make it. That's why I couldn't be a bike re-seller. I would be a homeless collector. The Boxer is cool, slow next to CBR, but real fun. once you get used to the engine torque ( invisible side car).
Carb work is easier, the carbs. are out on the side, The only downfall is if a float sticks, your shoe fills with gas.
