It's as easy as it gets.

1)Go grab a couple of quick-splices from autozone and a 10A rocker switch.

2)Decide where you want the switch to go.

3)Quick-splice into your license plate + wire, and run the other end of that new wire to the switch.

4)Quick-splice the fan + wire, and run the other end of that new wire to the switch

Done.

If you do it like I just said,

You can further complicate the wiring and the switch based on how inconspicuous you want to make the switch mount and wiring, how weather proof you want to make it, or whatever you want to do. I've done it many times, epoxying a rocker switch into the back of the headlight, making a 7/8in. mount for the handlebar, to even relocating the Horn and putting a new on/off switch where the Horn button use to be. But that's the gist of it. No write up needed, even if you're new at mechanical/electric stuff. And there's certainly no reason to by the "kit" and spend $80 or however much they want to charge for it considering you can DIY for $6.

Great - it looks very clean and inconspicuous. I'm glad its working for you. I'm in SWFL, so like you, I need all the help I can get when it gets hot.
