yea Mika there really isn't. they were explaining to me that they used fuel dye over and over on tons of heads and this was the best they had. Who knows though.

Hung- i used the stock one. I've searched for aftermarket ones but was nvr successful. I have no problems as long as im not sitting in too much traffic when we do city rides. The best way to go is do a custom oil cooler. Erion has done it, So its possible. I unfortunately scrapped the idea because it runs fine.

My head is capable off supporting 205 hp from the engine whit stock valves so i would estimate it could support 215-220 hp whit bigger valves and cams whit higher lift so i wouldn't worry about the size of the ports. The opening in my head is aprox 0.5-1mm bigger then the Busa intake boots opening. I have to open them a little bit and the rubbers are designed to fit the oem intakes of gen 1 Busa. I would think they are big enough
I would concentrate on optimizing the performance of the engine so that every part (tb:s, exhaust, airbox etc...) supports the ported head. The TT bike they build for Man and other street track had the limiter set at 13.5 k rpm. If you really feel need to get bigger intake ports it's not a diffucult/big job for competent machinist. They just weld more material to it and machine it from outside to the size you wan't and then you can get it opened. What throttle bodies did they use on the Erion race bikes?

Here we have shops that make custom sized oil coolers and radiators from aluminium and they aren't even very expensive. They have used lot of them on turbo bikes they build here. Many of them have custom oil coolers mounted on the custom rear subframes or modified the dimensions of the oem cooler because it doesn't fit whit the custom headers and turbo.

i probably should have asked them what throttle bodies they used. i am starting look more into flow of the engine rather than machining everything down more. I want to make a smoother mid pipe and get ride of some of the stuff in the air box. flapper etc. im still pissed i missed the 954 hrc ram air intakes that were on ebay about 3 months ago :-(

In the flow off the engine head i have based my modifications. More flow and raising the VE and trying to get every part to support the modification made to the engine head. And raising the max hp:s revs.

I'm curious to see what the engine issues are, glad to see you back. The bike looks good. (and that's that GSXR scorpion system still, right?)
