JUST BOUGHT 2000 CBR 929 WITH NO START PROBLEM

RE: JUST BOUGHT 2000 CBR 929 WITH NO START PROBLEM
Update... Pulled the plugs and they are getting spark andlooked good,so the coils and plugs are good. Drained tank and put fresh fuel in it. All the relays have been tested and checked out. Ohm tested the injectors and they tested good. Also tested injector voltagefrom black/white wire to ground and it is good. So the injectors are getting juice but no fuel coming out into the throttle body. I have tested voltage to the fuel pump and it primes and pumps when it's supposed to. Fuel is building pressure and getting to the fuel rail... Know this because when I pulled the return line fuel sprayed everywhere... LOL... Not used to fuel injection. What would cause fuel line to be pressurized but not delivered into the throttle body. Like I said the injectors are getting voltage and ohm tested good. I am stumped! I am going to continuity test injector wires back to the ECM but not sure what else to check. Is there a way to test if the ECM is telling the injectors to open? Could the injectors be clogged? Any ideas are appreciated.

Grounded injectors and they open. The ECM is not sending a ground signal to the injectors. All other bike systems function correctly. I can only figure I have a bad ECM. Does anyone know what else might cause this issue. Just want to be sure I checked everything before investing in a new ECM.

i had a problem like yours, it ended up being my cam pulse sensor( i got 1 for $10 off ebay) i never would have guessed. i only found out by using the o.b.d. manual can show you how because i forget. also try spraying some starting fluid in the intake ducts and see what happens.

I'm not seeing anything in the service manual about testing the Cam pulse generator. Only how to remove it. I am not getting any error codes from the ecm for the cam pulse generator. Were you getting error codes? Does anyone know how to test the cam pulse generator or what page of the service manual the testing procedure is?

i dont know if theres a way to test the sensor directly. that may not even be the problem, i was just getting at trying to use the o.b.d.. first why dont you try spraying a little starting fuild in the intake/ airbox to see if it will try to start.

If you want to sell, let me know
Sorry, I'm looking at picking up a wrecked (but perfectly running) 929 on friday and I'm just reading up on potential issues it may have later in it's life. But seriously, I've got cash and I'll come get it

Seen lots of posts that don't show what the final fix was so thought I would post.
Ended up being several issues. Bad connector on tilt sensor, bad ecm, and a bad main wiring harness. I fixed the tilt sensor and replaced the ecm and was getting intermittent sparkand no groundto the headlightharness and it kept burning up ecm's. Finally replaced the main harness and cut open the old one. Inside the main harness was a multi-ground and black/white hot wire union/connector that was burned to a crisp. Only tell that there was an issue with the harness was there wasn't continuity toground at the connector from the main harnessto the headlight harness. Not sure if this will help anyone but the factory wiring diagram is a godsend. Without it I would have been lost. Thanks for everyones help!
