Help Please
Hi All,
This is my first time posting so hope its in the right place.
I have a cbr 929 2001 which has developed a noise and driving me crazy .
It sounds like a dry bearing from the front area, I have recently changed the front wheel bearings and rechecked last night, they feel firm and smooth ? I can roll in neutral with the engine off and the noise is still there, the brake pads look ok and stop me without any change to the noise.. can it only be brakes or wheel bearings ? or is there a bearing from the front sprocket to the gearbox that could cause it ..
Any advice would be greatly appreciated..
Cheers in advance.. Al

Moving to the 929rr section.
You said the noise is in the front, but question the drive sprocket as a possibility. Is the noise in the front wheel?
The brake pads do tend to rub and make noise as the rotor passes through them. Best thing to do is to lift the front and spin the wheel, even remove the calipers from the mounts, and see if the noise is still there.
Lube (and clean) your spacers where they touch the seals too....

Hi Demon, thanks for your reply, a spun the front wheel with and without the calipers and only got the usual pad sound, the noise seems to be when im doing over 10mph, I mentioned the drive sprocket cos other than the wheel bearing what else is moving ? might be something simple like the rider lol..
