Hello all, thanks for all the answers. I told him that I wont buy it without the title. He said the title was in his parents house in North Cali. Anyway yesterday some other guy bought the bike. I hope the seller was honest and would really mail him the title. Anyway back to bike shopping. As of now my choices are a 2002 919 2002 Honda 919 or a 2005 GSXR with a replaced engine haha. Wonder though if that bike was really stolen?

Yeah man. I wonder why did that guy trust him right away though. Cause he bought it cash in hand. But nah never. If I would sell the bike I would always show the buyer the papers first. It was a real nice bike though I cant deny that haha.

Not to be the odd one out but ive purchased vehicles this way before. 99 cobra with 50k on the ticker for 11 didnt wanna pass it up because I kbew it was a steal 5 years ago. anyway to make a long story short everything worked out fine, he really did send the title in the mail. Brother just bought a 03 600rr for nothing becuz it was wrecked and the husband wanted nothing to do with the bike anymore ( scareds). U just have to read people and go with your gut sometimes and grab deals. Thats my opinion though

Yeah I mean the guy seemed trustworthy. Like I didnt meet him in person but he seemed like a genuine guy. He even apologized to me when he sold it to a different person but thats okay. Lots of good bikes out there. Not to go off topic man but how does your Mustang Cobra's performance compare to bikes? like I know bikes will win in the acceleration but what about like high end? Car has better top speed or what?

The cobra was fairly stock, if im not mistaken it ran 13.8 cant remember. But bikes are just way faster power to weight ratio is key along with traction. Cobra is gone though flipped her drinking and driving one of the dumbest decisions of my life. Anyway bavk to your question it depends on the car that car was built for acceleration gearing and what not. But other cars that have the power and the gearing to use that power can give u a run for your money.

Seen too many cases of, "he seemed like an honest guy" to not protect myself. If someone looks/acts like a crook they'll have a hard time scamming any cash

I bought my starter bike without the title in hand, but only because it was my friend's half brother who was selling it. Even then, it took him almost 2 months to get the title to me.
