Default 2003 cbr600rr

I just bought my first bike at an auction. Its a red 2003 cbr600rr. Everything works fine except the fuel guage ALWAYS shows full. I've heard this is a common problem and it may be the sending unit/sensor that needs replacing. I took apart the bike and pulled out the sending unit. The float pivots freely, and i hooked up a voltage reader and when i move the sending unit up or down the voltage jumps high and low so it seems to be working..Do bikes opperate similarly to cars? I need someone who has delt with this problem in the past or someone whos an expert.

**I have a test light that can give positive and negative power. I gave power to the cable and it did NOTHING to the fuel guage..it still stays on full

If you havent figured it out try making sure the plug in the hud is in all the way

I've had all sorts of problems including what you described from not pushing it in 100% (even as much as 5% out causes issues) It happened to me when I retrofitted projector HID's upon reassembly
