Cheaper replacement parts?
Hello all,
I'm currently doing a full-blown cleaning/maintenance on my F4 thats' been sitting for about 1.5 years. I've been slowly pulling it apart, and it's come to my attention that I need to do a lot more replacement than I initially planned.
I had been using bike bandit as a source for OEM parts, but now that I'm getting down to the small stuff, it just seems way overpriced. ($23 a pop for float bowl gaskets, nearly $100 for anything metal that needs replaced.)
I mean. I understand the concepts of supply and demand would mean things are gonna be a little more expensive for a 16 year old bike, but is there anywhere that has the same stuff for a more reasonable price?
Or does anyone know of a different solution to replacing those float bowl gaskets with something non-OEM?
Thanks in advance! I can't wait to get this thing riding again.

Depending to you could always try sourcing used parts. Obviously there is some concern with doing so but if you absolutely must save some coin then you can get stuff at a fraction of the cost. Obviously not gaskets and such but you get the point. I mean short of searching individually a lot of OEM stuff is similar in costs in my experience. Bikebandit has the pricematch thing. I tend to search around a few sites and go with the average. Unfortunately these bikes kind of have a cap for what they can be worth in the end. They made quite a few and mostly seem to command similar prices.
