Default ticking noise at idle...

So today I woke up and was heading to class, went out and started the bike up and sound like something internal was ticking...... gave it a little bit of throttled (not much thought) to see if the ticking increased with the throttled but it stopped and usually if its a lifter or what not the ticking would increase, or am I wrong?.. Just hearing that sounds worrys me... any thoughts on this??

Sounds like maybe the CCT could be wearing out on you, but I think the rate of ticking increases with rpm also. I could see it seeming to go away with revving if its just started to go on you though. How many miles on the bike?

Well thanks bear for the inputs!!... I did a little quick research and seems to be the CCT, because the noise is coming from the right side and only on a cold start (seen someone say they have had it start acting up around 5500 miles), ... So if this is the rattle noise, how bad is it on the bike to ride untill getting it fixed??

Haha I'm hardly an expert on this... someone smarter than me will surely come along with some specifics soon enough.

I've seen cam chain tensioners go on hondas after just 3,000 miles mate "honda are Sh*t for cam chain tensionors" and thats actualy a quote of what the honda dealer once told me lol

And yer if it goes when you rev it up a bit its more than likely your CCT

when you say "if it goes when you rev" do you mean like if the rattle goes away?
