throttle cables

He's talking about the handle area. I'll try taking a look myself when I get the bike back. What should the handle feel like if I were to disconnect both cables? Should there be any resistance turning the throttle or should it be quick like a hot knife through butter?

Do you feel proper tension when you twist it? Both throttle cables connect to the same part. There is only one. If memory serves correct, the pull cable is on top.
A good safety tip is to take a sharpie and write a "T" on the nut of the top one and "B" for the bottom one. That's what I do so I don't have to think. :-)

I'll try your tip when I open her up, thanks for the advice

Okay so im a racer and im not allowed to go out on track unless my throttle snaps shut if its even a little slow then its a no so heres a how to for you guys not sure
Attach cables at slackest settings
At the throttle there is an adjustable nut, turn that to tighten it (righty tighty) as far as possible, there is a standard nut and a very long one do the same for both
Then adjust at the carb side so that there is minimal movent before the butterflies open and minimal slack in the cable
