1/4 mile times and Help Needed!!
Last night I was at Toronto Motorsports Speedway, I managed two runs on my 98 CBR 600 F3.
first
R/T 0.54
60 ft 2.012
1/4- 12.22
115 MPH
2nd
R/T 0.314
60 ft 1.934
1/4- 11.80
117.9 MPH
I ran into a problem heading into the 3rd Run, went to post the bike and start it, but it wouldn't go, and the lights all dimmed like the battery was dying, it just drained and so I jump started it.
I parked the bike for an hour and watched some races then went to push it in my trailer and it started right up. strong and fast like nothing ever happened.
A friend on his Kawi 1100 said it happened to him and it was a faulty kill switch??? any thoughts?

As far as times go, im slow as He!! the first time i went out. I stay in the 12 range the whole night
The F3 wont charge at idle, it charges around 3k rpm and up till about 9k as far as i know. So when i race i just push the bike through staging and post lanes.
As you let the bike sit, the battery levels its self back out, making it feel like it has more juice.
I would check the voltage of the charging system, at the battery and it should be around 14+ volts at 5k rpm. Make sure the r/r connector is not corroded or dirty. I've had mine go out twice.

Thanks for the quick reply "Harmless"
Now here's a lesson for everyone hahaha After I took apart the kill switch to check the connections I then took a look at the battery ... and WOW would you believe the positive connection was completely loose. So guess it goes to show some preventative maintenance would have caught this.
I put the battery on the Yuasa Charger for 2 hours and it seemed to fix the problem. Now I couldn't ride today cause the rain wasn't going to make it much fun.. maybe tomorrow and see how it does.
I have pics of my track slips. I gotta get them off my phone, I lost both races to my buddies Ninja 1100. but not by much.... on the first he got me running 11.88 and on 2nd he had 11.5 something. his best run was 11.40 flat for the night. so i'm feeling good about my times.

are you guys running stock? thinking about taking my 102bhp f3 to santapod and seeing what i can get. It has -1 front and +3/+4 rear with 3kg dropped from the rear subframe
oh and your bike should charge check your rectifier and stator then take your kill switch apart and clean it. its all very simple so dont worry about breaking things.

I am not running stock, K&N Filter, Jetted, Full D&D Exhaust, -2/+4 on the gears.
The charging and battery were fine, just the positive cable came loose, causing me embarrassment and some minor issues.
