Default Idle issues with my f3...

Hey guys, I stored my 98 f3 over the winter and I attempted to start it today, It woudl start but not hold an idle so i removed all the old fuel and added a fresh 2 gallons worth. finally i got the thing to turn over and run but i have the idle screw (under left part of seat) turned all the way clockwise just so my bike can idle without choke. The downside is it sounds like a WRX with an exhaust. Sounds liek it is missing, anyhow, do i need to clean out carbs? I have about 13,000 miles on it, and would pouring some carb cleaner in tank do me any good?

Thanks guys for the help![/align]

It could be that there isn't enough fuel getting to the cards. Start with the easy stuff and change out the fuel filter first.

Personally next time I would drain your carbs, that should stop anything like that happening again.

fuel filter as mentioned ,. add some sea foam see if that helps then take it out on the road n give it a nice hard ride . if that does not work then you might wanna take a look at the carbs .
