Default DynoJET kit (Stage 1) Overview (PICTURES!)

IDoDirt may stickie this for informational purposes, but I decided to make a contents page for the DynoJet kit in-case some of you guys were wondering about it. There are quite a few parts to the jet kit, so this should clear up some questions!~

This part is going to be an Overview, NOT an install HOW-TO.
I Will make a How-To on installing the Jet Kit,
but not today, because I am lazy.

---

Most Stage 1 DynoJet Kits run for about 100.00-120.00 shipped on ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-D...Q5fAccessories

and a competitor which sells almost an identical item (factory pro)
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/95-98...Q5fAccessories

Both are equally good kits in my own opinion.
These kits are designed to improve the performance of your bike by about 5%
when installed correctly and with the proper tuning.

These Stage 1 Kits:
"Installing a performance exhaust system is one of the first modifications people make to their sport bikes. But in order to reap the full benefits of the increased flow (and usually to ensure the engine even runs properly), an aftermarket carburetor jet kit is required. Improved flow at the exhaust side usually results in an engine flowing more air on the intake side, meaning that the carburetors must compensate with more fuel to ensure the correct mixture."

These jet kits are usually the 3rd piece in the performance puzzle which consists of a performance air filter like K&N and a performance pipe made by companies like D&D and Yoshimura. Although DynoJet says the air filter and exhaust aren't a requirement for the stage 1, I would recommend getting both and learning how to install them before moving to the jet kit.

NOW>>> ONTO THE KIT!
The kit itself comes with a parts list, a free dyno run, a troubleshooting guide, and complete install instructions!

The parts are pretty straightforward if you understand carbureted engines
They all come compact in a plastic hard case!
Here is the entire package!

Make sure you get a nice sized table when inspecting the parts.
Lots of little pieces might come rolling out

---

The kit includes
2 Decel Circuit Plugs, (btm right)
4 Adjusting washers (unpackaged), and
4 E-clips
(unpackaged black)to hold them in place.
It also includes a drillbit (top right) to drill the slide lift holes
The drillbit was labled (DD#32),
as well as the 4 fuel needles (top left).

Also, 4 slide springs
and an idle adjustment tool
(they really included everything you need!)

(Closeup of the idle tool with the "D" indention)
sorry if you can't see it, the pics were kinda bad.
yea, I am looking at the pic now and you really cannot see the "D"
But just pretend it's there!

And finally the jets.
2 of each of the following
(130,132,134,136,138, and 140)

(12 total, all labeled, all in separate bags)
and a closeup of the jets!

---

They were all labeled correctly, but I was shipped a 2 missing parts (an e-clip and washer). A 2 minute call to DynoJet and I have them in the mail at no extra charge!

I will have some pictures of the install in about a month when the weather warms up just a bit!

Please feel free to correct, or add any information you deem appropriate to this and I will graciously add it!

Just a note: it's in the instructions with the DJ kit but remember that you'll want to save the OEM washers on the needles when you do the install. They're used with the DJ

P.S.:
Where's your stickers?!? The kit comes with Dynojet stickers! They're an integral part of making your bike go faaaaaaster!

IIRC, I put in the 140s & 138s cause I have a K&N and (newly discovered) TBR slip on.
