RE: Clean carbs?
Bikes not being started for a while can be a problem in it self, their moody buggers and they sulk. Cleaning them is a bit of a task, but not impossible. but I would be taking out and cleaning or replacing the spark plugs 1st, draining the float bowls on the carbies, and putting some fresh fuel in the tank, charge up the battery. There are a few other things that can make it appear to be your carbs, like fuel filter, air filter.
Not starting can be a lot of things besides your carbs, and I'd only attempt to clean em as a last resort. Unless you know what your doing, it can make things worse.
At the very least, get hold of a manual
