Default Carb Removal

When I went to remove my carburetors, naturally I have to remove the gas tank first. However I couldnt get it off. My breather tube and Drain tube seemed impossible to remove. Any tips on how to loosen them up a bit so they will come off?

whenever i have a hose stuck on all it takes is a pair of pliers on the nipple with the hose over it and twist the hose and then you hear a small ckick or snap and they come right off might give that a try if you havent already done that
