I have a 1996 CBR f3 and recently baight a new fuel pump for it. It didnt even last one ride and the bike died. I replaced it woth another new pump and the same issue occured. Its like when the pump gets warm it shuts off and acts like its not getting enough fuel. Not sure what to tackle next?! Was going to order am OEM pump but I dont think its the pump causing issues.

 

Describe how it's dying? Suddenly cuts out like you hit the Engine Stop switch? Does is slowly start to bog down, maybe sputter and then die?

 

It acts like its running out of fuel and slowly dies. I was thinking maybe it needs a new fuel cutoff relay?

 

An easy test for that is to bypass the relay. If I recall, you unplug the relay and then jump from the Black wire to the Black/Blue wire. I'd really be surprised if the relay were bad though. I say that because it's not a mechanical relay, is a solid-state relay. No moving parts to go bad.
