OK. so Interesting problem with my cbr 600 f2..
Ok. so i'm new to the site here so hopefully this is in the right area.. I bought a cbr f2 a little while ago and a finally start it up after doing an oil change and replacing a few parts including both front levers, and i noticed the guy had a good amount to much oil in the bike then it needed. It starts up fine and goes but when i go to stop i cant seem to shift back into neutral.. i've riden other bikes so its not me. i can turn of the bike then shift to neutral fine but while its running where i have shifted out of nuetral and started moving even at slower speeds i cant seem to get back into nuetral without turning off the bike. Anyone know if this is the clutch cable needing adjustment or something else. Thanks in advance..

If you follow your clutch cable, it takes you to your clutch cover. When you pull your clutch lever, you see the cable + mechanism engage (on top of clutch cover) there is a cable tighten clamp that connects the cable to the mechanism the engage to clutch. Loosen the cable clamp, fully adjust the mechanism arm, then re-tighten it....
Best if you have a service manual. Or you can start a new thread about clutch cable adjustment. Then other members will chime in. I've sold my F2 12years ago so I am lost too....I don't want to give too many advices when it's not my make & model.
But it's very simple...kinda like adjusting your bicycle brake line...LOL
Good luck and hope this (idle & clutch adjustment) will solve your problem

Ok. Sweet i'll try adjusting the idle and cable when i get off tonight and get back to you guys. hopefully that's it. i wanna say it started to drown out near 8k (need to clean the carbs) but il try and lower it to around 10k or so.
Lol and yea simple like bicycle brakes... So i'll make sure i've got an hour to spend trying to tweek the cables just right... LOL.
Thanks guys!
