i know this is a dumb question but how much oil for the f2?

 

With filter change, 3.7 qts. Check oil level with bike upright, dipstick setting, not screwed into hole.

Should add, that is what shows for my '92.

 

When using the dip stick to measure the oil, at what point on the dipstick does it indicate that enought oil is added?

 

I go by the high mark like all vehicles I have ever owned.[8D]

I learned before I got into trouble. I had mentioned to a bike mechanic I know about the oil being over filled on my bike when I bought it from a dealer. He said it is checked by leaving the dipstick in the hole and not screwed in. So we all have to learn sometime.

 

Hiker-

I took a picture of the markings on my oil dipstick. when i unscrew the dipstick, straighten the bike, and reinsert the dipstick unscrewed, its at the oil marker that i indicated as (high?) to show you that i have no idea as to what the hell is going on.

How did you do that? I go by where you have marked high. Height on stick matches oil added on an oil and filter change give or take a little.
