I know I do wish I kept it too. I decided to get a 929 erion edition which I love, and because I had to go back to the 90s I just went from Wisconsin to Florida last weekend and picked up a '94 900rr in the same color scheme as my f2.

If you can track down those ebc brackets Jman, I'll definitely buy some as I just upgraded to the 310mm floating rotors on my f2. It'd be easier than fabbing some up like I'm starting to do. Let me know

Did you get the shock installed "92F2SS"? If you havent done it yet another tip when using the scissor jack between the tire and subframe is to put the bike in gear. Loosen the shock bolts before jacking so you dont yank the bike over. Make sure to set the Fox shock length the same as the stock shock you removed. Then later if you want to increase the rear ride height.....1mm in shock length equal 3mm in ride height. Dont go more than 10mm in ride height over stock. You will sacrifice rear wheel traction while kneedragging getting back on the throttle.

Yes I just got my 954rr shock mounted on yesterday, I found it to be the closest size to the f2 out of any honda shock, it's 290mm & the f2 is 293mm[IMG][/IMG] [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]
I just put 2 jackstands under the frame and it worked fine, it was a tight fit with the attached reservoir but I got it in there

I was under the impression you had a Fox shock made for the F2. You might want to do some research about the "linkage rate" comparison between the 2 different bikes. Just because the shock fits doesnt mean it will work properly. I dont know for sure, better safe than sorry. And the only reason Im telling you this is because I asked on a forum about getting a OEM Ohlins from a Ducati from ebay and use on my F2 and someone mentioned the linkage rate difference etc etc. And that someone said if the linkage rate was progressive or not, same with the spring, progressive or not. Getting this all mixed up on the wrong bike could be disasterous.
Also, Im not the sharpest knife in the drawer and never claimed to be but one of the things that makes me think the 954 shock should not be used is when mounted on the 954 the shock is pretty much perfectly vertical. But the F2/F3 shock mounts at roughly 45degree angle. Thats where I think the spring rates, progressive or not and linkage rate, progressive or not come into play. Because of that angle that wasnt part of the 954 design.

Did you measure eye center to eye center to get the proper length measurement? Also the 954 shock is 3mm shorter than the F2 shock so..................you lowered your ride height by 9mm which is the opposite of what you supposed to do if you want a better handling motorcycle. Im just saying.

Yes I did eye to eye measurement, its as close to stock as i could find. Not to mention the f3 shock that i was gonna do is 9.3mm shorter, so that would lower the bike by more than 27mm & tons of people have done that. I'm not worried. The spring rate on the 954 shock is closer to a racing rate & that's what I wanted as I ride pretty hard. Plus I'm gonna eventually turn this into a track bike. I already have racetech Springs in front and thought about doing that in rear but found this shock with the same spring rate as the recommended racetech rate & closest to length as stock. The 07+ 600rr shock is actually the exact same length as the f2 at 293 but it's sprung super soft at 11kg/mm, so obviously the 600RR has a higher rate linkage with softer spring so that won't do. I only paid 15 bucks for this 954 shock so even if it's not perfect it's no loss to me. I'll keep you updated on how it feels when I get her back on the road.
