I haven't used K&L pumps but I had a look at their website and am thinking they are ok.
A couple of things. Do you have the old pump? Have you tested it?
If you have the old pump you can get a points set (goes on the end of the pump) for about $25. The points are usually what fails on the pumps so you can fix an old one for a lot less than a new one.

the only requirements for a fuel-pump is that it only pushes like 5Psi and shuts off after. I've had success with an old Honda car fuel pump (although inlet and outlet were different diameter.) Also If you want to go used, any fuelpump from the CBR family up until the F4 will be a more-or-less bolt on
