I still need to get a 525 front sprocket to match the rr rear but I used my 530 chain and its dead on. Thats why I cut it on the other side but I was still taking a risk that it wouldnt line up because I had the engine out when I was fitting the swinger. I did remake the rear tank mount yesterday.

It looks so much better. I also ordered a new fuel tee since mine broke.

Hey Ben, I'm really interested in that RR swingarm conversion. Can you take some pictures of the fit and the mount you made? Have you driven the bike with that swingarm?

You should take a look at what I'm doing to my Hurricane

That RR swingarm would be awesome on my conversion. You should think about doing the RR plastics on yours.

I have a build thread here if your interested:

I'll try to get some more pics of the swingarm Since I lost the ones I took when I was modifying but here are the dogbone mounts I made I circled them

I havent been able to ride it with the new setup yet. I was going to go with a rr tail but I really like the look of the gsxr tail and I got the parts much cheaper. I've been watching your build with the rr plastics it looks good. The most I might add to mine would be a belly pan but no fronts I bought this bike with the intention of making a fighter thats why I made sure to buy with with no plastics so that I could build it how I want. The only thing that concerns me is the side I cut doesnt have the needle bearings anymore. I've sat on it and compressed the suspension and it doesnt bind but I think I might drill a hole and put a grease fitting in to keep it lubed.
Here are the dimensions I came up with for spacers to use the stock pivot bolt
"one of them needs to be 48.1mm long with a diameter of 28mm and the other need to be 48.1mm long with a diameter of 34mm both have a 3mm wide lip with a lip diameter of 35mm and an inside diameter of 15mm"
The side I cut the spacer is longer than needed but I left it figuring it would give some strength where I cut it.

I sould have looked closer at that swing arm. I also sort of figured you were going street fighter :-) If you could post some more pictures when you get a chance would be appreciated.

I got my inspiration for the rr swinger swap from a guys build on custom fighters his screen name is Fathead_03. He put one on a f3 so I dont think he had to narrow it as much.
DISCLAIMER
This is a pic of him cutting his not me

END DISCLAIMER lol
I had to cut slightly deeper in than he did. When I welded the dogbone mounts I bolted the mounts I made to the dogbone and bolted the swingarm in and used a jack to hold it at the ride height I wanted then tacked them in.

A front end swap is on my list of want to do's as well. The nice thing is almost all Hondas use the same steering stem so its an easy swap I just haven't found a good enough deal on the parts yet.

Yeah that is a pretty good write up. I'm not good at doing how tos cause when I did my swinger I just dove in and started measuring and cutting till it fit I really didn't think of taking pics till I already had it done
