Default Tech Question

Has anyone noticed their bike feels bouncy on the front end when steady cruising 75 mph and below all gears? My 06 1000 feels as the more miles I get the more bouncy it feels. I've tryed varying my tire pressures and adjusting the suspension all the way hard and soft and everywere in between, but no real change in ride. I have about 7,000 milesand newer tires(2,000 miles) which were balanced, my bike was never wrecked or really wheelied and my front end seems to be in good shape compresses and rebounds correctly-(forcing it down by hand).How aboutsome input?

if you have 7k on your tire since you balanced them it's possible the weights may have fallen off.

I worded that incorrectly I have 7,000 total-2,000 on pilot power 2ct's. When my tires were balanced they installed dyna beads (and then checked the balance)which are suppose to last the life of the tires. http://www.innovativebalancing.com/motorcycle.htm

it depends really on the person balancing the tires if they don't clean the rim right the weights may not stick that good an can fall

Try decreasing your rear suspensions preload. It may be too high. If it is, your front end will feel soft and bouncy as the rear wont move with the front.

also, I'm not convinced of those beads. I would re-ballance the wheel with regular weights.

Wow I didn't even look at that site but I still wouldn't trust it I stick with the good old weights for balancing.

+1 I Bet they put too little or to much of thoes beeds in the tire. Stick with rim erights. never had a problem with mine,

Let us know what outcome is...

Front Preload
FULL HARD

Front Rebound Damping
1 turn from full stiff

Front Compression Damping
2 turns from full stiff

Rear Preload
6 from full soft

Rear Rebound Damping
2 turns from full stiff

Rear Compression Damping
20 click from full stiff
