water pump issue
So being putting the 1990 back together , threw the battery in it last night
and after 3 trys (bike not started in 5 weeks) she fired up.
Issue
Up on the lift with the fairing off I noticed slight steam coming from around
the water pump then once she got hot it stopped. Now it was not leaking
when cold either. Anyone ever noticed this before ? I'm thinking the gasket
might be on the way out ! ....any opinions ...... kinda strange to me maybe
the pump needs tightening down ?

If it's not been run for 5 weeks my guess it is was steaming off condensation as the water warmed up.
Keep an eye on the levels just to be sure.

It sounds hammered up. I'll give you $500 for her. I can pick her up this w/e.
I agree, steaming off condensation on the motor could do that.
