Default Warm Up or Just Ride

What do you all do, me i normally warm her up for a few minutes while i suit up.

Will it do damage if i hit the starter and go for it?

Even in cold weather my bike will idle without choke within 30 seconds, so which is it.

Warm up or ride

What i susually do is warm her up on chooke for 45 seconds while i put my helmet on, take off the choke, and then ride but i don not pass 3000 rpmm until the motor is warm. it is always better to warm up slowly when riding. that way every part of the motor will warm up at the same pace.

i let it idle long enough so that its nice and smooth (a minute or so max) then i head out. i beat my vehicles like they owe me money (they do) and if it breaks then i get to build it better.

Commute daily, start and ride, easy on the throttle. When sport riding, wait until fully warmed up before hard acceleration.

About 1min total, 45secs or so on choke then ride, taking it easy till motor and tires are warm.

Mine is a Cali/50 state bike. Still has all the smog crap on it. Starting at full choke when cold is a must. It's ready to go in a minute or so and I take it easy on it till warmed up. When the cam chain is quiet that's the signal it's ready for anything.

Warm for a minute, then ride at low rpms until it warms up.
