Default Voltmeter???

I have a voltmeter that I have hooked up to the fuse block. Where should I have hooked this up to get the best Voltage reading?

The reason I am going to get a more accurate voltmeter. Any help would be helpful. Also any idea's where to mount this thing....

The best place to hook it up is to the Ignition controled side of the ingition key. If you put it between the battery terminals it will be live all the time and would drain the battery while the bike is parked up. The wire you need to tap is the ignition feed between the key and the kill switch. That will give you the best reading and and try and keep the wires as short as possible, that way you have the least voltage drop. Hope this helps you and answers your question. Good luck

I have a voltmeter on my BB. Its hooked straight to the battery with a switch mounted beside it. A great mod for seeing if your charging system is working properly.

Mine runs from the light fuse and the battery neutral. My lights go off when the ignition is off, anyway.........just easier to get to and just as accurate.....
