Hi. My bike has a 180/55-17 on the rear. The book says 170/60-17. The wider tyre is easier to find, but does it make a difference to handling? 1992 cbr1000f-k. Thanks.
I believe some people say it makes it slightly slower turning in but I've been happy with 180s on my 1990 F-L for years and there's no issue with chain rub, incompatible rim size etc.
I own an 88 1000f and change the spec wheels for third gen wheel and now have a 120/180 combination instead of a 110/150, a tad slower but not much, but i het to ride on modern tires.
