@ Indie We have three bicycles rusting gently under some tarpaulin in the back yard, they moved out when the hurricane moved in

@ pmcg I don't do long rides, circumstances don't allow, prefer to get a short spurt in early in the morning if I can (We're still talking about bikes here btw ). Sunday morning being the best, just after sunrise, normally manage about 2hrs in the saddle doing the twisties.

My advice would be frequent stops, so you don't stiffen up too much, if you smoke you'll know when to stop, I quit smoking years ago, maybe I should start again

LOL - I'm just the opposite, except my CBR isn't hanging upside down. I walked past it this morning as I hopped on my bicycle and pedaled off 23 miles to work.

On the road trip, in addition to some chain lube, bring a quart of oil if it is a burner.
