So I will tell you, she was a Switzerlant version originally with 70ps cams, different ignition module and blocked carbs.

I changed it all, there are two timing marks on the crankshaft, onne for the SW ver and the other for the regular one. Once I got all of the parts from the 135ps and exchanged them, I checked it all with an ignition lamp and no surprises, eveyrthing was perfect there and shows exactly what the manual wants to be shown....

When she was still on the SW setup, someone indeed set timing wrong using the normal T mark but it didn't have any effect anyway, she just sounded the same, except the camchain rattled unbearably but once sorted out I know she is quiet there but still noisy somewhere else... When I was buying her, she was noisy but when you hear a sound like that you are not worried too much, you know that it is probably chain related but... it seems the purchase turned against me...

all my thoughts go to the oil pump chain which has a natural slack a no tensioner... by the way, what is your oil pump chain slack? about 0,5 - 1 cm? That is mine... it is not that stiff....

but again, I am tired of searching and I think as I can see nothing suspicious in the engine I will just ride a bit to compromise what I invested and the sell her..

Yup, my mistake DRam.

I had to ask because, you know, bathtub water swirls the opposite way down there from up here when it goes down the drain and I thought, well maybe engines operated opposite too. So I asked the question.

Nah they just ride on the wrong side, but I'd reckon forward is still forward and the clocks turn clockwise
