I've just bought a set of coils for this conversion myself (about $50USD delivered to New Zealand).

You can buy a brand new loom from PowersportsPlus.com - OEM Powersports Parts from Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha at discounts up to 80% off MSRP for about $36.00 USD, (+ postage) so no need to buy a second hand one.

If there is any interest, I'll post a few pics when I convert my FK.

Regards
Kevin.

Hey Kevin,

Thanks for that, it would be fantastic to see some pictures. By the way I have a very good mate in Dunedin in UnZud, Ridden in many far away places with him, Himalayas, South America, Turkey, Morocco, Dalmation Coast.

Cheers, SB

I have done the mod yesterday, cured a few things, starts better ( instantly). it seems to pull a bit better and run better, the idle has never been this stable. Guess the sparkplug wires and caps were getting old. Love it, even the sound has changed a bit.

Great mod!

i got some from ebay cbr1000rr used and it came with the loom 40$ plus shipping. took me about 45 minutes. longest part is to unwrap the loom and rewire it and wrap it up again, after that it is plug & play!

I took it for a ride of 200kms today ran like a charm , engine response is better ( more crisp) and took less gas ??? Also in the trafic it did not heat as much!

Defenitely a 70$ well invested.
