Starter Button Help
Ok, so I finally go the Hurricane to start and ride around, it only took years of arguing. The only thing left to fix was the starter button sticking. So I took it apart and found a nice mess of spider webs and dirt and stuff. Like most of this bike.
Well the switch came apart easy enough but the spring just fell out. Can anybody tell me where this spring goes?! I'm totally confused on its location. I've tried everything I can think of. Seriously this is my last piece to get this thing completed and I don't want to spend $30 on eBay for something that should go back together. Please Help. Picture of spring and half the switch attached.

Bugger!
I spent a few minutes looking online for you (not going to pull my switch to pieces because the spring may fall out!).
Found this........ Starter Button Maintenance on Valkyries
It's Honda but not CBR1000F but the principle 'may' be the same. Enlarge the photos and study how the spring is placed.
Hope it helps.
Cheers, SB

From your photo it looks like there is a post next to your left thumb that is just above the 'S' in the word [START]. It looks to me, that post would go inside of the spring in a way to push the button in an outward position.
In the left side of the photo provided by SB, you can see that post with the spring around it. The yellow arrow with the words,'Tabs are fragile!', just about points to it.
I hope this helps.
