Default Spark plugs?

Replacing my spark plugs today since I dont think they've been replaced in almost 20 years(maybe they have but they look pretty bad). Just wondering what kind to get. NGK recommends DPR9EA-9 but I saw a thread on here and elsewhere that says to use DRP8EA-8. Just wondering what most people here use, I know that the 8 is hotter but I dont know if thats better for our bikes or not

Honda manual also says DPR9EA-9, that's what I use and no hassles

Yeah I'd stick with the 9 'ers and not the hotter 8's

Nope, they last a bit longer etc. but not enough to warrant the price difference IMHO

I ran them in my '94 for 50K+ miles. Just changed them because it was cheap insurance for the long ride. I didn't have any issues with the first set and they look like near new when I pulled them. I think you could install a set and never buy plugs again. Some guys could say the same with standard plugs too I guess.
