Some play in swingarm
Guys,
Just after some opinions on some upward play in my swingarm. When putting the back wheel back on today I was tightening the axle nut and as I bought up the socket wrench the swingarm lifted with it. It was only about 10mm until it stopped. I don't notice anything while riding. The swingarm has no sideways movement either and the wheel bearings are fine to. I was thinking something in the shock itself or the linkages its connected to ? It may be nothing but I like to keep on top of any potential issues that may want to give me problems should I ignore it. Thanks Guys.

Bordo. Last time I got a new tyre fitted (lazy so ride in, ride out) my mechanic found the same with mine. Turned out to just be the shocky mounting bolts had come loose. Apparently it's quite common and he always checks them when he fits a wheel. you wouldn't notice it when riding unless you just about jumped the bike and the rear shock had no load on it at all. Just tighten the **** out of the mounting bolts and see if that's it. Hope this helps.
