Hi All . looking for some help ..any one out there got any ideas where to start on converting stock indicators to self cancelling ones ..also looking at using the indicators as running lights .. that is when headlight on they come on but will flash when turning ..any ideas

using your indicators as running lights may be a bit more difficult,
they flash as power is fed to them via the relay, if there on all the time the power will have to be cut to them to make them flash ( i think)

 

Actually Twisted Throttle has a kit that does just this for an E Model KLR
which in my opinion could be easily adapted for use in a Hurricane, as the
fundamental wiring is common to both bikes

The original GSX1100 E came out with self cancelling indicators - linked somehow to the speedo.
The US 1000F has the indicators as running lights,(front only) ie on all the time and blinking on the side that is turning. I'm not sure if it's in the loom or in the light switch or even the indicator switch.
