Default Screen / Windshield advice - 93-99 mk3

I have a clear touring type flip screen that was fitted to my '93 when i bought it but the plastic has gone brittle over time, it has lots of stress cracks in it and generally looks ugly and a mess.

Could anyone recommend some good companys / places in the uk that do screens for these models? Idealy i want to get an original honda screen, i am not sure if they are still available new, so am on the look out for a decent used one.

If not, then would be looking to go for an aftermarket replacement in the original standard style / shape if they are available - i've seen the mra vario screens but don't want to spend £80-£90 and can't seem to find any other options.

Up untill a few years ago, Powerbronze used to do screens for our bikes. Worth a try

I think I still have my old standard one from a 91 model. I can't swear to it and can't check because I'm on the rig at the moment.

I'm home late Thursday so would be able to check Friday. I think it will fit. If it does and I still have it then for a small price I will get it sent to you. If I rememv´ber rightly it's in perfect condition but like I say I can't check until Friday.

Obviously we can sort out price and everything once I have checked it. I will PM you with some pics once I get home if your are happy with that.

Many thanks indeed sir for your kind offer, although if it definitely from a '91 model then i don't believe it will fit as i think they are different from '93 onwards. If you do find it let me know and send me some pics then i will be able to see if it will fit. Either way i appreciate your offer, many thanks indeed.

^ Like Shadow said a Mk2 Screen 89-91 will not fit a Mk3 93 -> ,I have one of each with custom screens on both - unless you are extra gifted with a hacksaw and glue.

Dark smoke - I have one on my Mk2 but don't expect to see through it or run a camera...................
I guess very few of us actually have to look through our screens........

Thanks for the advice guys, Sprock - not really gifted with a hacksaw or glue lol, but i was thinking about cutting down my touring flip one. badrhino - thats interesting, i didn't know zero gravity did 1kf screens.

Preferable for me would be light tint or clear if / when i can find someone that does them in the UK. I may have to consider importing one if i can't.

I'm thinking of a Madstad adjustable for my 93 ( as a result of one I now have going on my KLR)

Although they do not have a specific screen for Cbr 1000F's , because of the way our
dash piece works above our instrument panel I believe a fully adjustable Madstad could
easily be adapted to our 1000F's along the style of adjustable screens found on later
FJR's and Concours bikes.
