Rear shock issues
Guys,
I think the rear shock on my 89 may be on the way out. The rear of the bike appears to be sitting a bit lower than normal. Is the rear shock something that can be refurbished ? I know a tell tale sign is a " bouncy " rear end which it doesn't have atm. It may be just me and there maybe nothing wrong with it. Is there anything I should be looking for or any tests I can do to see if its still good ? Sorry if this seems a dumb question....lol but I've never had anything to do with shocks before. Thanks guys.

When it seesaws it's bad
wind it up to the stiffest compression and if it still seems
like it's in anyway mushy at all it's crapped out on ya.
Not worth rebuilding in my opinion as replacements are
better.
I cheaped out and found one from a 1996 for short money
for my 1990 when it finally went
Buying used you don't want anything less that a 95/96
and the rod on it should be rust free - ask for specific
pics of the rod when buying used - same principles as
fork tubes - rust kills them
