New to me 96 Cbr1000f
#31
The bike is done. I've been busy doing a renovation in my basement and haven't had much time to work on the bike, but It's done.
I did the stick coil mod.
I had the front brake lines extended 3".
I bought new throttle cables from motion pro, that are 3" longer.
I removed the CCT and gave it a bath in a ultrasonic cleaner.
I replaced the cam chain guide.
I replaced the head cover gasket, water pump O-ring, and some other gasket that escapes me at this moment.
I adjusted the valves.
I synced and cleaned the carbs (which frankly didn't need it).
I even replaced the carb breather element filter.
I did a bunch of other small things along the way, but won't list.
I also managed to have some extra bolts somehow.......................
Small ones....
I think from the fairings, but I used zip ties in the front bottom.
So far It is a lot quieter than when I first got it, even when it's cold.
The real question is how long it will stay that way. I need to put some miles on it now.
Heres a short video to hear the quietnessssssssss.
