Default New chain and sprockets

I am in the middle of replacing my chain and sprockets. 96 cbr1000f. I am going with JT 17 tooth front and 42 tooth rear with a parts unlimited 530 o-ring pro chain. I replaced the front sprocket and torque to 39 ft lbs but it wiggles a little bit, I did not notice if the old one wiggled, is this normal? Also the chain has 120 links and the service manual calls for 114 and it seems to be longer than the old chain as the previous owner had a 40 tooth rear sprocket. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I think this question was asked recently, and I also believe that the answer was yes, this is normal.

Yep, a little wiggle is normal.
As far as chain length, you can just cut off what you don't need if it's a little long.

Thanks. I had to cut 6 links off a 120 link chain. The previous owner had a 40 tooth rear sprocket, which must have been why there was so much slack in the chain. About 2 inches adjusted all the way to the rear.

I don't think there should be any wiggle of the sprocket. The sprocket's marked face should face outward. Maybe it's on backwards. I would reverse the sprocket and see if it wiggles.
