Forgive my brainfart Richard, what year CBR1000F are you looking for the picture. I have the '87 out the back door and the '91 in the shed. It will take me but a minute to pull the panel off and take a photo.

Do you have the workshop manual yet?

Cheers, SB

info was in another post that I tried in vain to put that pic of the relay on.... it's an 88. I'm not sure if the fellas before me had them in the correct spots, or how much an improper setup will mess with things.

It'll take a bit longer as I'm heading out for about an hour, but I'll take the picture when I get back - first thing.

np, there won't be a whole lot going on tonight anyway, the carbs are off and torn down, but if you get time when you get back, It would be nice to have those correct for tomorrow when I try to fire that sucker up

OK walk got suspended because it started to rain and I'm NOT that dedicated

Here's the pictures - right hand side of the bike between the coolant reservoir and the rear brake reservoir.

Not exactly sure what pictures you want of the wiring - where it goes? How it's actually wired up to the relay?

Let me know as I'll leave the bike in bits for the minute.

Cheers, SB

if you look at the relay I have that pic of above... those 4 prongs that accept the plug.... yeah, well I have no plug. just 4 leads with horsey clips. I had to cut the sheath back to find the colors. Have a red, a red/white then there is a yellow/red and a green/red

your relay looks the same, I just need to know which of those 4 go where
can we do it like this so neither of us are confused:
batt motor
1 2
3 4
fuse side

Ok I'm with you............

It is as follows (assuming my bike is 'normal'):

batt motor
1 (yellow/red stripe) 2 (green/red stripe)
3 (red) 4 (red/white stripe)
fuse side

Lucky I looked, mine was corroded to billyo!

Photos to follow.

OK...............looking from the front - fuse nearest. Red to the left, red with a right stripe to the right.

And tipped upside down to look at the back wires.

Yellow with a red strip to the left, and green with a red stripe to the right.

Hope that helps.

Cheers, SB
