Hello there guys and gals. I'm in need of a couple of parts at a reasonable price. The right inner fairing for my 87 1k and the third gear for the tranny, if not the whole tranny at a good price. Found the fairing in ebay at a good price, but the tranny parts found only for a 96 1k. If anyone knows it fits I could get that one but don't know which years are interchangeable. Anyone with any of those parts could pm me please. Thanks!!!!!

Tranny parts swap if the whole set is used together, not much different except bushings. So 96 should work with no issues if the complete set is purchased and installed, (both shafts sets).
Timing set, cams, carbs, cylinder, heads, alternator, and CDI are the big changes and most all are between the 1st and 2nd gens. 2nd and 3rd not really any, but carbs, cams and cam chain adjuster improvements. CDI has minor curve change. Hope this helps. This is all for the same sales area and holds true between them if you follow the MK guideline differences, not years.
